Library Programs

Celebrate Canada’s 150 with us by participating in our 2017 TD Summer Reading Club. Registration has already started and you can drop by the main branch to pick up your package or fill in our convenient online form. Whoever reads the most titles in July and August will have a chance to win exciting prizes. Reading logs are available at the main branch or you can submit the online form by August 31st. Shari Narine, is an award-winning journalist from Edmonton. She has served as editor for newspapers and magazines and she currently works at the Aboriginal Multi-Media Society (AMMSA), Playhouse Publications. Her first book, called Oil Change at Rath’s Garage, was released mid-May. She will be at the Stuart MacPherson Public Library on Tuesday, June 20th to showcase her book.

Maker Mondays is a program for all ages that runs from 3-5pm at the main branch. We alternate between two programs: Creativity Zone where you use our Snap Circuits and plan 3D printing projects and our Lego Club.

Paper Crafts & More runs on Fridays in the ATB Room at the main branch from 10am-4:30pm. This program is for tweens & up with all scrapbooking materials provided at no charge. This is a self-lead drop in program with staff assistance as required.

Library Board AGM 2017 will be held at the main branch on June 28th at 6:30pm in the ATB Room and members of the public are welcome to attend.
