Library Services & Fees

Memberships

*Non-Residents must add $60.00 to the fee. Non-Residents are patrons residing in a municipality that is not a member of the Northern Lights Library System.

Members are responsible for all materials charged out on their membership. If an item is lost, returned damaged, or overdue, the member must pay the fines/fees before any other items may be checked out.

Borrowing Privileges

You can renew any material you have out once, in person or by phone, as long as the item isn't overdue and no one else has placed a reserve on the item.

At times libraries outside of Alberta charge fees for sending interlibrary loans (ILL's).  This cost must be paid by the patron when the item is picked up at our library.

Loan Periods

Each member is responsible for all materials charged out on his/her membership card. A “date due” slip is given out at the time of library loans. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that items are returned on time and in good order. Patrons who have overdue items will have their membership privileges suspended until the item(s) are returned or a replacement cost is paid.

Faxing

Outgoing                  $2.00 for the first 3 pages & $0.25 per page after that

Incoming                  $0.25 per page received
